BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —Birmingham-Southern College is featured in the “Fiske Guide to Colleges 2022.”

Fiske2022.pngAs the best-selling college guide on the market, Fiske offers profiles of more than 300 of the “best and most interesting” colleges in the country. The annual report has been a source of crucial information for students, parents, and guidance counselors for almost 40 years.

“We are pleased to once again be recognized as one of the nation’s top colleges by Fiske,” said BSC President Daniel B. Coleman. “While the past year has been difficult for students, faculty, and staff – and our worldwide community – Birmingham-Southern College has continued to provide the personalized education we pride ourselves on. Critical thinking, community, and lifelong learning are more important than ever, and we continue to emphasize those things as we prepare our students to lead the way in leadership and service.”

The “Fiske Guide to Colleges” has been the leading guide to more than 300 four-year schools — including quotes from real students. The guide is updated and expanded each year and includes: a quiz to help students understand what they are looking for in a college; lists of strong programs and popular majors; indexes that break down schools by state, price, and average debt; academic, social, and quality-of-life ratings; financial aid stats and acceptance rates; quotes from real students; and more.

The guide describes BSC as a college "striving to prepare students for all aspects of the modern world, with high-tech facilities and a curriculum that prioritizes critical thinking, teamwork, and global awareness."
